First Kiss Friday – An Excerpt from “Three Authors: Poison Pen” by Val Tobin

 Today on First Kiss Friday, we welcome romance author, Val Tobin, and an excerpt from her Romantic Suspense, “Poison Pen.” Last time Val shared the first kiss between Jacob and Robin. This kiss is between Beth and Andrew.

This excerpt must be kept short and sweet to avoid spoilers. Beth and Andrew have a complicated relationship and have danced around their attraction to each other for a long time. After much difficulty, they finally admit their feelings and share a kiss.

First Kiss Excerpt

… His mouth dipped to hers and he kissed her, a deep, soul-satisfying kiss. Her head spun, and she lost all thought but that she wanted this moment to last forever. When he raised his head, he locked his gaze on hers. “I’ve wanted to do that since the last time I saw you.”

Beth wanted to do that every time she thought about him. In a soft voice, she said, “Me too.”

“There’s something else.” Andrew stroked his fingers through her hair, sending shivers down her spine. “I want us to be a couple. Exclusive. What do you say?”

Self-conscious, she glanced over at MJ’s table. Empty. Grateful to MJ for giving them privacy, Beth returned her attention to Andrew.

“I’d like that,” she whispered, but she stifled a yawn. Damn.

“Do I make you nervous?” He drew her closer and rested her cheek on his chest. His kiss fluttered on the top of her head.

“Sometimes,” she admitted…
